FAQs

Is Digha worth visiting?
Digha is the answer. As it is a very small place there is not much to do, however one can take a break from the chaotic life in Kolkata and retreat to Digha for a day or two. One can enjoy several delicacies like fresh crab and fish being cooked and grilled over charcoal. One can also hire bikes to explore the beach.
Which is the best time to visit Digha?
Winter (October to February) Winter is undoubtedly the most preferable time for visiting Digha. It is also the time for Bengal's biggest festival - Durga Puja, and many people use their leaves to spend some leisurely time on the beach in Digha.
Can we swim in Digha beach?
Old Digha beach is not suitable for swimming. New Digha beach is good for swimming & different water activities. Good see beach for enjoying the weekend with friends or families or wife/husband/girlfriend within marginal price range.
Which is better mandarmani or Digha?
Mandarmani is more serene with limited options of eating/staying/shopping etc. Digha is more crowded but is almost a full fledged city in terms of amenities. As far as the beach is considered, I would prefer Mandarmani!
