Overview
We start our 2 nights 3 days Enchanting Meghalaya Tour from Guwahati, which is a city in the state of Assam. On our way to Shillong, we’ll take a pitstop at Umiam Lake, which is a surreal man-made lake.
The adventure sport is also one of the reasons people go to Meghalaya and the place offers trekking, camping, mountaineering, rock-climbing and as well as water sports. The peace and quiet of the place mixed with options for unleashing the adventure junkie in you make it one of the perfect destinations to visit in India.
Shillong is the capital city of Meghalaya, and is also known as the “Rock Capital of India” with many musicians having western and local inspirations from the place. The night life and cafes of Shillong are not to miss out, as it has a unique vibe to it.
On your way to Mawsynram, visit Khasi heritage village, which will give you an insight into the life, culture and traditions of the historic tribe of Meghalaya. Mawsynram is one of the wettest places on Earth, but it’ll draw you closer with its waterfalls and forests that are quite mystic and surreal.
The best time to visit Meghalaya is between the months of October to April, the weather in Meghalaya is pleasant and one can enjoy the full experience of visiting Meghalaya during these months.

On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway station, We start our journey from Guwahati towards Shillong , Shillong is called 'Scotland of the East’ (100 km 4 hrs). Enroute visit Umiam Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel.

After breakfast head towards Mawsynram. You will visit
En route you will cross the Shillong view Point, Elephant Falls and Khasi Heritage Village.
Khasi heritage Village - You will experience the traditional lifestyle of the Khasi tribes. The village has houses built in the conventional Khasi style. There is a museum which kept artifacts, tools, and weapons, traditional daily and occasional items that were extensively used by the Khasis. After that proceed to Mawsynram Village..
Mawsynram Village - A wettest place in the world. A tiny village on the eastern part of the Khasi Hills of Meghalaya. Famed as the wettest place in India, which is home to the Cascading waterfalls, unstoppable pouring of rain and valleys carpeted with lush greenery. Mawsynram receives annual rainfall of almost 12 metres.
In evening head back to Shillong by passing Krem Dam and Krem Mawjymbuin. Oner night stay in Shillong hotel.

After breakfast visit Ward’s Lake. After that drive to Guwahati. Enroute visit 'Kalakshetra', a place where Assamese history and culture is presented through Light and sound show.
Airport/ Railway Station drop. Departure from Guwahati.
